Hello! Due to Sprint being annoying and misleading, you can, in fact, text me on my American cell phone number! However, calls cost 20 cents per minute, so below are some other ways to call me while I’m abroad:
- WhatsApp – Call or video chat me with the WhatsApp app. This app uses wifi/data, so there’s no worries about international calling fees! You can download WhatsApp to your smart phone or your computer. If you want to call me through that app, shoot me a text ahead of time so I can make sure I’ll be free and preferably in a place with wifi. Find my WhatsApp number once you’ve set up your account by searching my American cell number.
- Facebook Messenger – If you’ve got a Facebook account, you’re already set! Messenger allows people who are friends with each other on Facebook to call and videochat each other through the messaging program on the website, or download the Messenger app on the App store.
- Facetime – If you have an Apple device, (I think) we can video chat with the FaceTime app which is already downloaded to all Apple devices.
- Email – You can reach me through email at beaverk@dickinson.edu
- Snail mail – Want to send me a letter or package (make sure what you’re sending can be legally sent over borders)? Email me for the address please!
- Other social medias – For my more tech-savvy friends and family out there, you can still contact me through the other usual social medias (like Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) while I’m abroad since I’ll have a full phone plan there.
